Inside the Bayfront Convention Center, the ballroom looks more like a Wedding Wonderland than a convention hall.

From photographers and florists to DJ’s and dress designers, nearly every piece of a wedding is represented in one place as couples start to ramp up during peak wedding planning season.

Casey Dusicsko oversees operations at Port Farms, which was one of the vendors at the convention center.

“I think it’s great, as a community, to get all the local vendors out here for everybody to see and give good options. Again its hard to go and do research, but to actually see the products and meet the people behind the businesses is really cool,” Dusicsko said.

Another vendor at the event was iHeartMedia.

“Its for the bride, so we want to prep, make sure that they know what is at stake. There are jewelry vendors, they can buy their ring. There are DJs if they want to solicit times and venues and whatnot. It’s all here under one roof for them,” said David Hugar, Vice-President of Sales at iHeartMedia.

Just a few minutes away, a second bridal show was unfolding at the Sheraton hotel, offering a different mix of vendors and a slightly different experience for couples.

With the event being in person, the couples can really get a sense of what they feel is best for them.

“I think it allows the vendors to really get to know their clients and then their clients can kind of see what they have to offer in person instead of trying to do things through email and phone. I think face-to-face conversations are super important. But this allows them to really showcase their best efforts on what they can provide these couples,” said Brianna Massari, Senior Cluster Sales Manager for the Sheraton Hotel.

From big ballrooms to smaller show floors, both events allowed couples to gather ideas, ask questions, and take their next steps in wedding planning.
