TRENTON, N.J. – New Jersey will officially have a new governor Tuesday.
Mikie Sherrill will be sworn in Tuesday in Newark.
The 4-term congresswoman and former navy pilot will be inaugurated as the state’s 57th leader, and second female governor.
She defeated Republican Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli in the November primary.
Sherrill is taking over from Gov. Phil Murphy, who served two terms.
