OBITUARY

Thomas M. Harhut, 60, of Mayfield, died Saturday at Allied Services Hospice Center, Scranton surrounded by his family.

Born September 11, 1965 in Burgdorf, Germany, he was the son of the late Richard and Marianne (Bossa) Harhut.

Thomas worked for many years as a dye caster for Bardane Manufacturing, Jermyn. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid Steelers and Yankees fan. He also enjoyed helping people. He was an active member of the Queen City Group of Alcoholic’s Anonymous in Olyphant, where he recovered from alcoholism and helped many other people in recovery.

The family wishes to thank Allied Hospice and the Queen City Group for all of their love and support to Tom and his family.

He is survived by one daughter: Tiffany Harhut of Peckville, PA; two sons: Richard Harhut of Olyphant, PA and Joshua Harhut of Buckeye, AZ; two sisters: Michaeline Turano & companion Charles Whitaker of Jermyn, PA and Tanya Mesko & husband Robert of Greenfield Township, PA; six grandchildren: Jayden & Kaylee Bilko, Paige, Audrey, Layla & Paisley Tomlinson; his life partner: Carol Matthews of Mayfield, PA; nephew: Dylan Harhut and niece: Kaila Reynolds.

He was preceded in death by a daughter: Tisha Harhut.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10:00 am from St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale.

Friends may call Thursday from 9:00 – 10:00 AM at the church.

Arrangements are under the care of the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA.
