BALA CYNWYD, PA — The Main Line is getting a new place for bagels, as the popular Philadelphia bagel shop Bart’s Bagels is expanding.
Bart’s Bagels is coming to 273 Montgomery Ave. in Bala Cynwyd.
This new location will be their third, stores at 769 S. 10th St. in Philadelphia and in West Philly location at 3945 Lancaster Ave.
According to an early January social media post, construction at the Bala Cynwyd shop “will begin soon.”
Brothers Brett Frankel and Kyle Frankel, who founded and own Bart’s Bagels, grew up near their new location, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
“This is near and dear to our hearts,” the social media post reads. “It’s a homecoming for us! We grew up here and we know this place like the back of our hand.
Bart’s Bagels’ menu includes classic bagel styles and flavors, various schmears, egg sandwiches, smoked fish sandwiches, specialty sandwiches, coffee, tea, and much more.
There is no word on when exactly the new location will open, but the Inquirer reports the brothers are aiming for some time in the summer.
