Traffic enforcement efforts in Westminster led to drug charges against two Pennsylvania men, according to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.The sheriff’s office said deputies were conducting traffic enforcement Friday afternoon on Baltimore Boulevard when they stopped a Honda Accord with a Pennsylvania license plate for a traffic offense.Authorities identified the driver as Phillip James Paul, 40, and a passenger as Kevin George Paul, 45, both of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. The sheriff’s office said a K-9 scan detected a positive alert for the odor of drugs.The sheriff’s office said deputies searched the vehicle and its occupants and seized 98 capsules weighing 33.7 grams of suspected fentanyl, 5.8 grams of suspected cocaine, eight Alprazolam (Xanax) bars, three cellphones, drug packaging materials and $738 in cash.Both men were charged with multiple drug-related offenses and remain held without bail at the Carroll County Detention Center.
