The Black & White Reunion will present the 28th annual Pittsburgh Racial Justice Summit in partnership with Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) , YWCA Greater Pittsburgh, and WZUM.

The 2026 theme is Building Community for Lasting Democracy and Racial Equity.

There are two goals: 1) To motivate and inspire attendees to engage with local organizations who have been working to advance racial justice in the region, and 2) To activate attendees’ commitment and empower them join these efforts by interacting directly with our speakers and facilitators.

The keynote speaker is Monica Ruiz, the Executive Director of Casa San José. Under her leadership, the organization has experienced exponential growth and now has 35 staff members and more than 100 active volunteers. It connects, supports, and advocates with and for the Latino Community.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in various workshops focused on topics such as climate and environmental justice, equity in food systems, immigrant rights, allyship, systemic racism, and community organizing.

A distinguished panel of experts and activists will engage in a thought-provoking discussion on the current state of racial justice and the path forward.
