PITTSBURGH (WBOY) — A man has been arrested in Pittsburgh and is facing charges after police say he broke into a home while posing as an Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent.

According to a criminal complaint obtained by Pittsburgh ABC affiliate, WTAE, William Gregory, 35, is accused of entering a home in Pittsburgh’s Beltzhoover neighborhood through a kitchen window and demanding that the family show their paperwork, all while weilding a knife.

WTAE reported that Gregory threatened a juvenile, a 17-year-old boy, with a pocketknife while trying to steal a PlayStation console and the boy’s phone. Police reported that the boy punched Gregory in the face, knocking him unconscious until police arrived on the scene.

Gregory has been charged with ethnic intimidation and burglary and is being held in the Allegheny County Jail. Police told WTAE that he was wanted for burglary and possession of a firearm charges prior to his arrest.
