BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Bucks250PA, an official partner of America250PA, has awarded $20,000 in funding to 19 nonprofit organizations in Bucks County to support community-focused projects in honor of the nation’s 250th anniversary, the Semiquincentennial, in 2026.

“These mini-grants will support local efforts to commemorate Bucks County’s pivotal role in America’s founding and its continued historical significance regionally, throughout Pennsylvania,
and across the nation,” said Bucks County Commissioner and Bucks250PA Commission Chair
Robert J. Harvie Jr. “As we move deeper into 2026, the 250th anniversary of America’s
founding will hopefully remind us that we are one nation made of many diverse backgrounds
and cherished traditions.”

The Bucks250PA Mini-Grants Program supports events, programs, and projects from local nonprofit organizations that contribute to a vibrant calendar of activities commemorating the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America declaring its independence. Proposals were required to demonstrate strong planning, a clear connection to the goals of the America250PA initiative, and a creative or meaningful approach to marking this important milestone.

While collaboration wasn’t required, projects that encouraged partnerships, public engagement, or cross-sector cooperation were strongly encouraged. Priority was given to efforts that outlined measurable outcomes and demonstrated a lasting community impact.

Following a submission period from October 1 to December 1 2025, applications were reviewed by the Grants Committee and voted by the Bucks250PA Board. The nonprofit organizations, listed alphabetically below, were awarded mini-grants, ranging from $550 to $1,500:
