ST. LAWRENCE, Pa. – The state is giving Saint Lawrence a big boost to add sidewalks in the borough.

A $1.2 million dollar grant will help with the borough’s Sidewalk Connectivity Project.

“This funding will deliver on-the-ground improvements to residents of the 126th,” said State Rep. Jacklyn Rusnock (D – Berks.) “From more connected sidewalks to reliable water, sewer and stormwater systems, these grants help tackle long-standing needs. I’m pleased to see these dollars invested locally!”

The funding will be used to install sidewalks at Saint Lawrence Avenue and North Prospect Street.

Plans also call for adding curbs and making other improvements for pedestrians who walk in the area.
