HERSHEY — The 2025 Clearfield County Fair Queen, Lauren Kennedy, will be competing in the 40th annual Pennsylvania State Fair Queen Contest to be held Thursday, Jan. 22 through Saturday, Jan. 24 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center, in Hershey.
The contest is held in conjunction with the 113th annual convention of the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs and Pennsylvania State Showmen’s Association. Kennedy, of DuBois, will compete against other young women from fairs cross the state for the 2026 Pennsylvania State Fair Queen title. This year, the contest boasts a record number of participants with 66 contestants entered in the competition.
The Pennsylvania State Fair Queen contest consists of a written essay on the topic “What My Fair Means to My Community;” a three-to-five-minute speech on the topic “Why You Should Come to My Fair;” a six-minute personal interview with a panel of three judges and a personal on-stage introduction.
