Lukas Iannone broke a long-standing school record and led Scranton Prep to a 54-40 win over Wallenpaupack and a 65-13 win over Dunmore in a Lackawanna League boys tri-meet Tuesday.

Iannone won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1 minute, 44.75 seconds. He beat the old mark of 1:45.98 set in 1997 by Clint Cornell.

In addition, Iannone won the 100 butterfly and was part of two winning relays for the Cavaliers. Michael DeVitto won the 200 individual medley and the 500 free and was part of two winning relays, and Ben Kessler won the 100 free and 100 back and was part of a winning relay for Scranton Prep.

Girls swimming

Hadley Pallman, an All-Region swimmer in the distance races, dropped down to the sprints and won the 50 free (25.38) and the 100 free (55.18), and also contributed to a pair of relay wins to lead Abington Heights to a 98-67 win over Elk Lake.

Gianna Vachino won two individual events and was part of two winning relays. Kacey Johnson won two individual events and was a member of a winning relay for Abington Heights.

Wallenpaupack’s Zoee Stuckey won the 200 free and the 100 back.
