OBITUARY

Richard J. Grant, 89, of Reading, passed away Monday, January 19th, at Spruce Manor, West Reading.

Richard was born in Reading on August 25, 1936, a son of the late Teresa (Shannon) and Richard W. Grant and was the widower of May (Gantz) Grant.

He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, then served in the U.S. Army for 20 years as a SFC and fought in the Vietnam War. He worked as a dye helper at Narrow Fabrics, Reading and also was a dock worker for Ames until retiring in 1994.

Richard is survived by his two daughters, Debra Velez Ojeda, of Reading; Felicia Jones, of Womelsdorf; son, Robert W. Grant, husband of Mary, of Reading and four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Carol Grant and sister, Mary Ellen Swartz.

Viewing will be Thursday, January 22nd from 5 PM to 7 PM and Friday, January 23rd from 9 AM to 10 AM at Feeney Funeral Home. Religious service will be Friday, January 23rd at 10 AM at Feeney Funeral Home.

Interment at Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood.
