Grammy-nominated jazz performers Alfredo Rodriguez and Pedrito Martínez will appear at the Perelman Theater Thursday at 7:30.

The Philadelphia Orchestra performs Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition” Thursday through Saturday at Marian Anderson Hall in the Kimmel Center, conducted by Elim Chan. The program also features pipa master Wu Man performing Pulitzer Prize–winning composer Du Yun’s Ears of the Book concerto and Debussy’s Prelude to “The Afternoon of a Faun.” There will be performances tonight at 7:30, Friday at 2 and Saturday at 8.

Vox Ama Deus presents a Beethoven program featuring piano soloist Peter Donohoe on Friday at 7:30 in the Perelman Theater. The program includes Piano Concertos No. 4 and 5 along with the Egmont and the Coriolan overtures.

Celebrate Lunar New Year with The Philadelphia Orchestra on Wednesday at 7:30 in Marian Anderson Hall. The festive evening promises to blend the rich traditions of East and West, showcasing a vibrant combination of classical favorites and the distinctive colors of Chinese music.

Kids event

The Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center in Pennsburg, Montgomery County, presents “Grundsau Lodsch fer Yunge” (Groundhog Lodge for Children) on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.

Children will have an opportunity to help the groundhog predict the weather for the rest of winter. Other activities at the free event include learning Pennsylvania Dutch dialect phrases, doing crafts, playing games and enjoying snacks. Scott Reagan will provide Pennsylvania Dutch music.

Choir concert

A concert featuring several community choirs will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Muhlenberg High School auditorium near Reading. The Scottish Festival Concert will feature the Reading Choral Society along with Berks Youth Chorus, Blue Mountain Heritage Chorus, Opus One Chamber Choir and Vox Philia under the direction of RCS Music Director Dr. Graham Bier. This is the first time the choirs have done a concert together.

Each choir will perform separately and then together for “Auld Lang Syne,” a commissioned piece by Christopher Hoh. The performance includes bagpipes, poetry and song to mark the birthday of Scottish poet Robert Burns.

Tattoo Arts Festival

The Villain Arts 27th annual Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Festival runs Friday through Sunday at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. The festival draws world-renowned tattoo artists and enthusiasts, offering a platform for diverse tattoo styles. There are performances including suspension, sword swallowing, a contortionist archer, burlesque and a sideshow.
