The rabies vaccine clinic originally scheduled for this week has been postponed and rescheduled to Feb. 21 due to weather concerns.
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Erie County has postponed this weekend’s rabies vaccine clinic due to weather.
The Erie County Department of Health made the announcement on Wednesday, citing “expected bitterly cold temperatures.” The clinic has been rescheduled for Feb. 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.,and will be held at the North Buffalo Community Center on Sanders Road.
Pet owners will have to re-register their furry friends to be vaccinated, which can be done online at erie.gov/rabiesvaccine or by calling the department’s environmental health division at 716-961-6800.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you, but safety for the public and for their pets is our top priority,” the department said in a statement.
