BERN TWP., Pa. – Penn State Health’s Children’s Hospital is offering more surgery options in Berks County.

Pediatric surgeons and other health providers will offer specialty services at Penn State Health Saint Joseph Medical Center.

“We are pleased to welcome our colleagues from Penn State Health Golisano Children’s Hospital and to work together to advance pediatric care in Berks County,” said Dr. Kimberly Wolf, vice president and chief medical officer of St. Joseph Medical Center. “This collaboration ensures the highest quality of pediatric surgical care is available to families in our community.”

The goal is to increase access to surgical care for children and teenagers in Berks and surrounding counties.

Surgeons are offering pre-surgical appointments and performing general and gastrointestinal surgery at the Bern Township hospital.
