ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A 65-year-old Allentown man is dead, nearly two weeks after being hit by a vehicle.

Jerome F. Bauder, of Allentown, was pronounced dead on Monday at 6:40 p.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, according to a news release from the Lehigh County Coroner’s office.

Bauder was struck by a motor vehicle on Wednesday, Oct.1 at around 7:05 p.m. at the intersection of West Allen St. and N. 15th St. in Allentown, according to the release.

Officials say an autopsy was conducted Tuesday, and the cause of death is complications of multiple traumatic injuries from the collision.

According to the coroner’s office, the manner of death is accident.

The Allentown Police Department and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office are continuing an investigation.
