The South Erie Post Office will close temporarily at the close of business next Friday.
On that day, The Retail and Post Office Box service will be transferred to the Presque Isle Post Office, about three miles away.
Window service hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. They are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
“A timeframe for a return to South Erie Post Office has yet to be determined. We apologize for the inconvenience and plan to reopen the facility once the issues are abated as we continue working with the building’s landlord to resolve the matter,” the United States Postal Service said.
