AMITY TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The ribbon was cut Friday officially opening The Pointe at Douglassville.
Ten luxury apartments and commercial spaces have been built at the site of what used to be the Ben Franklin Inn.
Officials say the new building is eco-friendly, with solar panels providing 70% of the facility’s electricity and back-up capabilities.
The project manager says there are many benefits to living or visiting here.
“It’s very close to Philadelphia. We’re right along Route 422. And it is a hop skip and a jump right to the Philadelphia area,” said Tim Heffner, project manager.Â
Heffner says some of the apartments are still available.
So far, a salon and spa, a coffee shop, and a financial company have moved in to the commercial spaces.
