The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced an investment of nearly $53 million in 30 rail freight improvement projects to enhance freight mobility and support an estimated 450 jobs across the state.These investments, funded through the Rail Transportation Assistance Program and the Rail Freight Assistance Program, build on the Shapiro Administration’s progress to improve infrastructure and grow Pennsylvania’s economy.
