The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported $535,834,254 of total revenue for September
Pennsylvania’s casino and gambling operators are coming off an excellent month, generating $535,834,254 in total revenue from all forms of gaming along with fantasy contests in September 2025, according to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. It marked a 5.92% increase in revenue compared to September 2024 ($505,884,714) for online casino sites for real money and their land-based counterparts. The revenue includes slot machines, table games, internet gaming, sports betting, fantasy contests and video gaming terminals.Â
It was a strong month for almost every casino in the state, with 16 of 19 casinos reporting an increase in revenue compared to last September. Presque Isle Downs and Casino in Erie increased by 79.25%, going from $5.6 million in revenue last September to $10.2 million this year. Total tax revenue reached $227,853,311 in September.Â
iGaming revenue skyrockets Â
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board also released revenue reports for online casino games available in the Pennsylvania casino industry. iGaming slot revenue had the biggest percentage increase (37.1%) compared to last September, going from $132 million to $181.1 million. iGaming tables also had a big month, jumping from $42.4 million (2024) in revenue to $50 million (2025) for a 17.8% increase.Â
iGaming poker revenue saw a 4.5% increase, while fantasy contests increased by 5.4%. It was a disappointing month for sports betting though, as the revenue fell from $53.5 million last September to $29.7 million this September. Retail slots (-1.5%), video gaming terminals (-0.6%) and retail tables (-0.06%) each saw small revenue declines year-over-year.Â
Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course leads the way
For the fifth month in a row, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course produced the most revenue among all Pennsylvania casinos in September. The Grantville, Pennsylvania-based casino has topped the list in all but two months this year, finishing with $101,565,411 in September revenue. It was a slight increase from August ($101,339,937) and a 23.1% increase from last September ($82.5 million).Â
Valley Forge Casino Resort, which produced the most revenue in January and April, finished second in September with $93,386,531. It is based in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, 20 miles from central Philadelphia. It was the sixth-best month of the year for Valley Forge Casino Resort, dropping from $98,680,739 in August. However, it was a 9.1% increase for the casino compared to 2024 ($85.6 million).Â
