Erie School District closed for Jan. 23 due to extreme cold

Here are the latest school closures and delays in northwestern Pennsylvania for Friday, Jan. 23.

The National Weather Service forecasting offices for the region have issued cold weather advisories until 7 a.m. on Jan. 24. Wind-chill values could reach between minus 15 and minus 20 degrees at times in some areas. A winter storm watch is in effect over the weekend from Saturday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m. until Monday, Jan. 26, at 1 p.m.
