From Berks to “Beauty and the Beast,” a Reading Native is taking the spotlight for a Broadway production.
Reading native Danny Gardner stars as “Lumiere” in the Broadway national touring production of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast.”
He has performed in several Broadway productions, but this one will take him close to home.
Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” will play for two weeks at Philadelphia’s Academy of Music from February 11-22.
One of those performances will be extra special, as over 100 Reading School District students will be in attendance for the February 12th matinee.
After the show, Danny will host a post-show talkback with students.
His mom, who used to work at the Reading School District, helped arrange the trip.
