SCRANTON, Pa. — Spending time at “antique and collectibles” stores can be such a great way to spend an afternoon.  Especially if the merchandise has local ties. It’s like flipping through the pages of a storybook of your surrounding area.  Home and Backyard dropped in on D&D’s Collectables where they specialize in Scranton and NEPA vintage items.

Dan Kosloski co-owner of D&D’s showed us some interesting paper items such as old newspapers and photographs from several areas in and around Scranton, PA.  We also had the opportunity to look through maps, books and other Scranton area ephemera displayed and sold at the shop.  Dan brought out  fun vintage items from local Amusement parks from days gone by such as souvenirs and tickets from Rocky Glenn Park, Ghost Town In The Glenn and Angela Park.

D&D’s Collectables began as a table at a flea market in Exeter in 2005 and soon outgrow it’s space and moved to Scranton and has now moved into a larger location in the Providence Section of Scranton.

They “buy and sell a variety of items like: U.S. Coins, Vintage Paper Advertising, Old Advertising, Vintage Magazines, Old Matchbook Collections, Antique Books, Vintage Trading Cards, Old Newspaper, Vintage Comic Books (printed before 1980) & much more.”
