EASTON, Pa. – Word got out fast that Piscitello’s Home Center in Easton had been restocked Friday night.

Co-Owner, Dave Kolver said, “We open at 8 o’clock, but the line at 7:30 got a little over whelming, so we let people in the store cause it was so cold out this morning. We had about 100 people right at 7:30 in the parking lot. It was so full, they actually stopped traffic out on the road on Wood Avenue.”

Kolver is still shocked, adding, “It was quite an event for a little home center like us.”

At one point Piscitello’s Home Center had been running low on supplies.

Piscitello’s front end lead, Eryka Machado said, “The way my boss is, that wasn’t going to happen, we were going to be loaded up.”

So, Kolver took matters into his own hands.

“Everyone is out of everything,” said Kolver. “We have a vendor that supplies out of West Virginia and they said we could pick it up, so we took two trucks and headed to West Virginia yesterday for hundreds of shovels and buckets, all that good stuff and sleds.”

They brought it back Friday night.

The hottest idem today was rock salt. Machado said, “100% salt, shovels were a big thing, kerosene heaters, gas cans, that’s all we’ve been going through nonstop, all week.”

Piscitello’s stayed open late until 4 o’clock on Saturday and will close for the storm on Sunday, but Kolver said he’ll be restocked with rock salt on Tuesday.
