Visitors at the Electric City Aquarium’s Winter Wine Under the Waves event in Scranton enjoyed local wines and supported vital wildlife conservation efforts.

SCRANTON, Pa. — Raising a glass to conservation at the Electric City Aquarium and Reptile Den in Scranton.

At the winter wine under the waves, visitors got a chance to sample wine, beer, and other spirits, check out the aquarium and rain forest creatures, and also check out local vendors selling candles, jewelry, and more.

Ashley Formica of Harleysville says, “We’re out here for my sister’s birthday, which is actually today, but instead of doing a dinner, we decided this was much more fun, so we came out here instead. It’s been really nice. All the vendors are really nice here, and they’ve had really good local wines that we’ve never been able to try.”

All proceeds from the Winter Wine Under the Waves support the aquarium’s wildlife conservation efforts here in scranton.
