PennDOT maintenance crews will conduct road work at 19 locations across Northampton County from Monday, Jan. 26 through Friday Jan., with most projects scheduled during daytime hours between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

It was not immediately clear how the forecasted snowstorm for the Lehigh Valley will impact these projects, but a PennDOT spokesman on Friday said the storm could the schedule of work.

The scheduled work includes crack sealing on Airport Road in Hanover Township between Schoenersville Road and Mountain View Drive from Jan. 26 through Jan. 30. Lane restrictions with flagging will be in effect during the project.

Pothole patching is scheduled at multiple locations. In Nazareth Borough, crews will work on High Street between Broad Street and Cherry Hill Road from Jan. 26 to Jan. 27. Northampton Borough will see similar work on Main Street between 21st Street and Cherryville Road from Jan. 28 to Jan. 29. On Jan. 30, crews will patch potholes on Route 329 in East Allen Township between Airport Road and Seemsville Road. All pothole patching projects will have lane restrictions with flagging.

Interstate 78 will experience shoulder restrictions at three separate locations. In Williams Township, work will affect the area between Exit 75 and Exit 67 on Jan. 26, and between Exit 71 and Exit 75 from Jan. 27 to Jan. 28. Lower Saucon Township will see shoulder restrictions between Exit 75 and Exit 67 on Jan. 29.

Additional maintenance work is planned on local roads throughout the county. Projects include Richmond Road in Forks Township on Jan. 26, Main Street in Palmer Township on Jan. 27, Church Road and Mill Road in Plainfield Township on Jan. 28 and Jan. 29, and Tatamy Road in Palmer Township on Jan. 29. Main Street in Stockertown Borough, Belvidere Road in Lower Mount Bethel Township, South Delaware Drive in Williams Township, Bingen Road in Lower Saucon Township, South Main Street in Washington Township, and Route 412 in Lower Saucon Township will also have scheduled maintenance work during the week.
