(WTAJ) — A popular grocery store chain throughout Pennsylvania has shut its doors due to the winter storm beating down on the East Coast.

Weis Markets announced that all store locations, including pharmacies and gas stations, will be closed on Sunday, Jan. 25. The company stated that this closure is to ensure the safety of its employees and all customers.

Stores are set to reopen Monday, Jan. 26, at 8 a.m.

In addition, Giant Eagle has announced their stores will be closing at 4 p.m. Sunday, and released the following statement:

“We at Giant Eagle are extremely appreciative of all our Team Members who helped ensure our communities received the grocery staples they needed to feed themselves and their families this past week. All Giant Eagle locations opened for business as scheduled this morning and all have seen small, but steady flows of customers coming in to pick up needed items.
