It took about an hour for the Faribault Bethlehem Academy Cardinals to end the season of the Glenville-Emmons Wolverines at Van Orsow Auditorium tonight.

The #14 seed Cardinals scored 25-16, 25-12, 25-13 victories over the #19 seed Wolverines in a match that produced a number of errors by both teams.

My unofficial statistics showed Bethlehem Academy had 10 errors in the first set, 9 errors in the second set and 6 errors in the final set.

Glenville-Emmons finished with 13 errors in the first set, 15 errors in the second set and 8 errors in the third.

Needless to say with all those mistakes offense was hard to come by.  The Wolverines finished with 15 total kills on the night (6 in first set, 3 in second, and 6 in final set).

The Cardinals smacked 30 kills in the three sets (11 first set, 10 second, 9 in third).

BA was led individually by Madelyn Huizel, 5’8 , senior and Sarah Tobin, 5’10, senior with 8 kills each.  Mikayla Dienst, 5’10, sophomore tallied 6 kills.  Dienst also had 4 ace serves, Maggie Edel, 5’5, senior had 4 aces.

Dienst had 2 hitting errors, Huizel 2 hitting errors with many of her kills coming off overpasses by the Wolverines.
