After weeks of chaos and multiple changes, especially at the top of the rankings, there was a measure of stability in high school basketball in the Lackawanna League.
In the eighth Times-Tribune High School Basketball Top 10 Polls, there is one new team and one change in the teams’ ranking from last week.
All 10 teams in the boys’ ranking remained in the same position as last week. Holy Cross is the only new girls team, while Scranton and Valley View flipped spots after the Lady Knights earned a head-to-head meeting at the start of the week.
The first five teams in the boys poll went undefeated last week.
Dunmore (15-1) had a dramatic win over No. 6 Old Forge, 69-66, on a buzzer-beating basket from halfcourt by Brayden Canavan that captured the attention of ESPN SportsCenter as the play of the day Tuesday.
