Edward J. Toth
OBITUARY
Edward J. Toth, 79, of Lake Winola died Thursday October 16, 2025 at Oak Ridge Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing. He was the husband of Susan Avery Toth. They would have been married 58 years on October 21, 2025.
Born in Olyphant, PA, he was the son of the late Edward and Mary Rojek Toth. Ed graduated from Olyphant High School. Before retiring, he was an engineer at Tobyhanna Army Depot for 40 years. He trained worldwide. He loved sports and played on many softball teams. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants.
Edward was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed being with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Kimberly Pineda (Frank) of Texas and Michelle Ward (Christopher) of Lake Winola; three wonderful grandchildren: Dr. Britnee Zionkowski Monticello (Vince), Horseheads, NY, and Shane Pineda, Philadelphia, PA and Evan Pineda, Gainesville, FL.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Oak Ridge Rehab Nursing Home for all their kindness. We would also like to thank the wonderful people, staff, and friends at the Oakwood Memory and Personal Care in Moosic. He was a resident there for a few months.
A celebration of life will be held at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit on Saturday, October 25th at 4 pm. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home from 2 pm until the time of the service.
