READING, Pa. – The Reading Parking Authority (RPA) announced it is implementing additional temporary parking accommodations to support snow removal operations in the city.

RPA officials say all city-owned parking garages will be open and available for public use through Thursday, January 29th at 6:00 p.m.

The measure, which has been extended from its previous end-date of Tuesday morning, is intended to reduce on-street parking and allow crews the time and space to safely clear city streets.

RPA officials say this applies to parking garages only as surface parking lots are not included.

The 6th & Cherry parking lot will remain reserved exclusively for approved emergency vehicles during this period. This lot will not be open to the public.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to use the available garages.
