Sen. Doug Mastriano (R-Adams/Franklin), a veteran himself, honored those who served at the State Capitol.
“We also carry in our hearts the memory of the 93 Pennsylvanians who gave their lives during Operation Enduring Freedom, including 13 members of the Pennsylvania National Guard,” said Col. John Wenzel, 166th Regiment, Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
This year marks 24 years since the operation began and 11 years since it ended.
