In the aftermath of the winter storm that paralyzed the area on Sunday, the entire Lackawanna League boys basketball schedule was postponed.
Six games were moved to Tuesday night. No. 5 Valley View (14-2 overall, 6-2 in division) is at North Pocono (4-12, 1-7) at 6:45 p.m., and Wallenpaupack (6-9, 2-6) plays at West Scranton (5-11, 2-6) at 7 p.m. in Division I games.
No. 1 Dunmore (15-1, 8-0) plays at Western Wayne (3-13, 0-8), and Mid Valley (7-9, 3-5) is at No. 2 Riverside (15-1, 7-1) in two Division II games, which tip off at 7:15 p.m.
In Division III, No. 10 Susquehanna (12-4, 7-1) plays at Mountain View (4-11, 2-6) at 6:45 p.m., and Forest City (0-16, 0-8) plays at Montrose (5-11, 3-5) at 6:45 p.m.
Other games were pushed back to Wednesday, and as far into the week as Saturday.
No. 9 Holy Cross (8-8, 4-4) visits No. 6 Old Forge (11-4, 6-2) on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. Old Forge defeated the Crusaders, 69-48, in the first meeting. The Blue Devils snapped a 38-game losing streak to Holy Cross.
It is an important game for both teams.
Holy Cross is at full strength after battling injuries through most of the season. The Crusaders are averaging 76.7 points per game since leading scorer Adam Badyrka returned to the lineup after missing 10 games with an injury.
Old Forge is trying to stay within striking distance of division leaders Dunmore and second-place Riverside. The Blue Devils lost to both teams in their first meetings of the season.
Blue Ridge (7-7, 5-3) is at Lackawanna Trail (11-4, 6-2) in a Division III game on Wednesday at 6:45 p.m.
Two games are rescheduled for Saturday afternoon.
No. 8 Delaware Valley (10-6, 3-5) will play at No. 3 Abington Heights (11-5, 8-0) in Division I at 2:15 p.m. Honesdale (6-10, 2-6) will play at Lakeland (7-9, 2-6) at 4 p.m.
The Scranton (6-10, 3-5) at No. 4 Scranton Prep (12-3, 7-1) game in Division I was postponed to a time to be announced.
