Due to the ongoing storm cleanup, many Lehigh Valley municipalities have postponed scheduled trash and recycling pickups.
Allentown:
Residents in the Sunday night collection zone are asked to place out both trash and recycling for collection on Wednesday night. Up to 10 bags of trash or 4 trash cans, plus 1 bulk item will be accepted. Residents in the Wednesday Night Blue zone may also place out their yard waste for collection.
Trash, recycling, and yard waste collections are canceled on Monday. Residents in the Monday night collection zone are asked to hold their trash and place out for collection on Thursday night. Up to 10 bags of trash or 4 (32 gallon) trash cans, plus 1 bulk item will be accepted. Monday night recyclers are asked to please hold their recycling until their next scheduled collection, Monday night, Feb. 2. Residents in the Monday night BLUE zone are asked to hold their yard waste until their next scheduled collection, Monday night, Feb. 9.

The Recycling drop-off center on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive remains closed to the public.
Allen Township: Residents serviced by the municipal hauler, J.P. Mascaro & Sons, will have trash and recycling pickup delayed by one day, with collection on Jan. 30. Unless otherwise indicated, the normal trash and recycling schedule will resume the first week of February, with collection returning to Thursday.
Bangor: Trash will be collected on Wednesday.
Bethlehem: Curbside recycling pick-up will be running one day behind the entire week. Monday route will be picked up Tuesday, Tuesday routes will be picked up Wednesday, Wednesday routes will be picked up Thursday, Thursday routes will be picked up Friday and Friday routes will be picked up Saturday.
Catasauqua: Trash and recycling pick-up delays will be on a holiday schedule the week of Jan. 26. Trash will be picked up on Wednesday and Saturday; Recycling will be picked up on Saturday.
Easton: Trash/recycling collection will be delayed by one day all week due to the snow storm. Trash & recycling collection days this week have been shifted as follows: Tuesday will be picked up Wednesday, Wednesday will be picked up Thursday and Thursday will be picked up Friday.
Hanover Township, Northampton County: All service will run on a one-day delay. Monday service will be completed on Tuesday. Tuesday service will be completed on Wednesday. Wednesday service will be completed on Thursday. Thursday service will be completed on Friday. Friday service will be completed on Saturday.
Hellertown: Both sanitation and recycling collection will operate on a one-day delay the week of Jan. 26.
Lower Macungie Township: Trash and recycling services for today have been postponed until Tuesday. Waste Management will operate on a one-day delay for the remainder of the week.
North Catasauqua: Garbage and recycling collection will take place Tuesday instead of Monday.
Palmer Township: Trash and recycling collection will operate on a one-day delay at this time. Residents should place their materials out one day later than their normal scheduled pickup.
Pen Argyl: Garbage pick-up will be delayed until Saturday. It is not a recycling week. Do not leave your garbage out until after 2 p.m. Friday.
Salisbury Township: Trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day: Monday’s collection will occur on Tuesday and Tuesday’s collection will occur on Wednesday. Residents are encouraged to watch for any additional updates or changes to trash and recycling collection as conditions evolve.
South Whitehall Township: Garbage and recycling will not be collected on Monday. A holiday collection schedule will be in effect for the rest of the week. This means all trash and recycling pickups will be delayed by one day. Collections will begin on Tuesday and each day’s pickup will occur one day later than usual for the remainder of the week.
