ALLENTOWN, Pa. – What started as a routine Monday afternoon quickly turned into a safety concern for neighbors in one Allentown block.
A sinkhole opened along the 1200 block of North 15th Street between Fairmount and Woodlawn streets on Monday afternoon, according to the Lehigh County Authority.

Officials say the call came in around 1 p.m.
As a safety precaution, two homes were evacuated, and both families have been relocated to a hotel. No injuries were reported.
