Beverly DeMario Shea
OBITUARY
Beverly DeMario Shea of The Villages, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 16 at Bradley Hospice House with her devoted husband of 54 years, Skip, by her side.
She was born on January 15, 1950, in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Bev was preceded in death by her parents Fred, a Scranton fire fighter and Ann DeMario.
Before moving to The Villages in 2013, she lived in Roaring Brook Township for 36 years with her husband and son Michael, where she taught elementary school at North Pocono and IST.
Bev was a member of the PAISBC Cancer Survivor Group and was a great supporter of Keystone UNICO and many charities and organizations in Northeastern Pennsylvania. While living in The Villages, she was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Church and its Women’s Guild.
Bev was known for her personal qualities of kindness, devotion, and love for family and friends.
She graduated from Central High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Marywood and a master’s degree at The University of Scranton in Elementary Education.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley Skip and son Michael and daughter-in-law, Sue and Abigail, her beloved Shih Tzu.
Memorial mass will be held at St. Eulalia Church, Roaring Brook Township on June 18 at 8:30 AM, followed by a breakfast at Elmhurst Country Club.
