ALLENTOWN, Pa. – An American indie rock band is coming to Allentown’s Archer Music Hall this summer.
Archer Music Hall announced in a Facebook post that Modest Mouse will be performing on Saturday, June 6th.
The rock band, formed in 1992, is known for their eclectic style and darkly comical lyrics. They have released seven albums, with Good News for People Who Love Bad News gaining mainstream attention in April 2004 after earning Platinum certification from the RIAA and a Grammy nomination.
Another album, The Moon & Antarctica released in 2000, is often considered one of the band’s best works and has received widespread critical praise.
The band members have changed throughout the years, with their only original member still in the band to date being Isaac Brock. One of the most notable additions came in 2006, when legendary guitarist Johnny Marr—best known for his work with The Smiths—joined the band.
Tickets will be on sale starting Friday, January 30th at 10 a.m.
