On Feb. 11, 2026, United Way of Erie County will join communities nationwide in recognizing 211 Day, an annual effort to raise awareness of PA 211 Northwest the region’s free, confidential helpline that connects residents to essential services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
PA 211 Northwest functions as a social service counterpart to 9-1-1, helping individuals and families navigate challenges such as housing instability, utility assistance, food access, health care, employment support, and other community resources. By dialing 2-1-1, callers are connected with trained resource navigators who listen, assess needs, and guide them to appropriate local nonprofit and community programs.
