Louise Nykaza
OBITUARY
Louise Nykaza, 98 of Chapman Lake passed away on January 20th at Hospice of the Sacred Heart after an illness. She was the widow of Jacob Nykaza who died May 21, 2025. The couple was married for 76 years.
Born in Jessup, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Cherry Turissini. She attended Scott High School where she and Jake were classroom sweethearts.
She was a member of St. John Vianney Parish where she worked many years on church functions. She was employed for over 28 years at Weston Corporation now known as Lockheed Martin.
She loved plastic needle point, bird watching, going to the Casino and enjoyed watching hockey. She was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by seven grandchildren, Jeremy Kashuba Nadena Cruise, Karissa Dolan, Corey Nykaza, Mallory Mangan,Jake Nykaza and Dakota Lawler, a brother-in-law, Walter Nykaza,sisters in law, Pauline Nykaza and Alice Britt, and a daughter-in-law, Judy Nykaza.
She was preceded in death by daughter Patty Kashuba, and sons Mark and Richard, brothers, Leo and Charles, sisters Rita Browne, Marie DeAntonio, and Rose Cairns and a brother in law, Daniel Nykaza
The funeral will be held Saturday, January 31st with a blessing service at 10AM at Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, 511 Church St., Jessup. Interment will be held at a later date.There will be no public viewing. For online condolence go to funeral home website.
