YORK, Pa. – Rutter’s is putting a twist on an American classic.
The convenience store has introduced its new “SPAM Dog.” The dish features the iconic SPAM flavor in hot dog form.
The Pennsylvania-based chain says its latest creation brings together heritage and innovation.
“The SPAM Dog is a flavor disruption that transforms a classic comfort food into something entirely new, featuring a savory, smoky-sweet finish and a pop of nostalgia that bites back,” Rutter’s said in a statement.
The company teams up with Hormel Food Corp. every fall for a limited-time SPAM menu.
Rutter’s is a privately held chain of convenience stores headquartered in York. It operates 93 locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.
