Massive convoys of airport operation vehicles continue to remove snow from taxiways after removing a foot of snow from runways during the storm.

Crews worked more than 40 hours, Saturday through Tuesday, to keep at least two runways open.

While it was a challenge, Jim Moorhead, vice president of airport operations, said they met their goal.

“It brought just under 12 inches in 24 hours. It was massive, it was hard to handle, but everything got done,” Moorhead said.

Operations will continue for the remainder of the week.
