Ruckus with Davone Tines play tonight at 7 at Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral, 19 S. 38th St. This early-music ensemble explores America’s earliest revolutionary music, time-traveling through four centuries of reimagined songs, hymns and dance tunes.
Loudon Wainwright III and Chris Smither perform Sunday at 7 p.m. in the Zellerbach Theatre at the University of Pennsylvania. The two have been performing for decades, making an indelible mark on the contemporary singer-songwriter scene, with influences from folk, country, jazz and rock.
