Jon Craig, an Erie native has been biking cross country back to his hometown from Portland Oregon. Craig wanted this ride to empower people through inspiration stating that this is what drives him.
“All the beautiful energies and good things that exist in this world are worth fighting for.” State Craig, “and being on an adventure like this is how I embrace that perspective.”
However, his journey has recently had an unexpected and upsetting turn. His bicycle and all the supplies he had packed for a successful trip have been stolen while traveling through Tuscan Arizona.
Clothes, food, a cook set, a sentimental blanket of his mother who had passed, a tent, sleeping bag, tools, shoes, his bike, and more had all been taken.
These items had been critical during his travels and assisted him in making necessary funds needed along the way.
This has not deterred him. He continues his journey but now on foot with only the clothes on his back. He continues to move east and even though he started this journey alone he will need the help of the community to reach his destination.
“The love I have for journey and connection moves on with me and will not be defeated.” Said Craig.
