Erie, PA. – Erie is home to many different parishes and religious communities. In these photos, I explore a few different churches from around campus and downtown.

Saint Peter Cathedral

Right on Sassafras Street lies the Saint Peter Catholic Cathedral. It’s a breathtaking building with beautiful architecture, highlighting the stained glasses windows and tall clock tower. (Bailey Clements)

Taking a closer look at the tower, the details are much clearer. The different arches, windows, and silhouettes show the beauty of this building. (Bailey Clements)

Cathedral of St Paul

Located right near Old Main is the Episcopal cathedral of St Paul. This building is set apart by its shining golden cross at the top of a high peak. (Bailey Clements)

First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant

A serene church with wide open arches makes for a peaceful scene in downtown Erie. The beautiful artwork in the window reveals intricate designs. (Bailey Clements)

Mary, Seat of Wisdom Chapel

Right in the heart of campus lies Gannon’s own Catholic Church. This brick building is surrounded by stone pillars and topped with a bell tower. (Bailey Clements)

First United Methodist Church

This Church can be found on campus, right near the Nash Library. A captivating view of the stained-glass windows is shown here, the blue designs look striking against the orange brick. (Bailey Clements)

Saint Patrick Church

Located a little further down on 4th Street is this Catholic Church. St. Patrick’s is a huge, stunning building with impressive architecture. (Bailey Clements)
