NORTHAMPTON BOROUGH, Pa. – A building in Northampton County was evacuated Saturday afternoon after a burst pipe caused flooding.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the 2000 block of Hokendauqua Avenue in Northampton Borough around 2:07 p.m. upon receiving reports of a pipe failure, according to county dispatchers.
The flooding reached the building’s electrical panels, acccording to Northampton County dispatchers. All tenants were evacuated from the building.
Displaced residents are currently being relocated to another facility within Northampton. It is not yet clear how many individuals were affected or when they might be able to return to their homes.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
