River rescue crews are urging people to remain off the ice as dozens were seen walking along the frozen Ohio River on Saturday. Multiple people, some with their children and friends, were seen walking near The Point. Some posed for pictures as others took the time to slide along the icy surface of the water. “It’s a little scary, I ain’t gonna lie,” one ‘ice walker’ said after venturing on the river. “You can’t go too far, you don’t want to fall in. But, stay close enough, and you can do whatever you want.””I don’t recommend anyone to do it,” another said. “But you have to be smart about it. You can’t go out too far, you know. The river’s moving, so wherever it’s moving, you do not want to go.” Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 was on the scene, where police officers were seen urging people to get off the ice, helping one person get to shore.
