When the bus was in the area of milemarker 214.1 in Upper Frankford Township, Cumberland County, State Police say the passenger went into the bus bathroom to smoke a cigarette. While in the bathroom, State Police say the passenger ignited his pants, leading to a larger fire.

The bus pulled over, and the passenger was taken to UPMC Carlisle for treatment.

State Police say the passenger was cited for disorderly conduct.

According to Greyhound, smoking on their buses is prohibited by federal law, and buses make frequent stops that can accommodate smokers.
