ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Allentown School District plans to operate on a regular schedule starting Tuesday.

The district says they are excited to welcome students, families, and staff back to in-person learning after a week of virtual instruction.

The ASD Communications Director commends the Facilities and IT Teams for being on hand to support instruction during our virtual learning days.

While ASD schools are ready for students and staff to safely return, some city streets and sidewalks are still being cleared. The district recommends to plan accordingly, allow extra travel time, and exercise caution on your way to school.

If you have questions regarding snow removal on your street or around a specific school, authorities ask you contact the City of Allentown directly at (610) 437-7576 or SWEEP at (610) 437-8729.

Authorities say at this time, the Allentown School District will operate on a regular schedule for the remainder of the week, but they will continue to monitor conditions and share any updates if needed.

The district says their transportation provider, STA, continues to monitor routes and adjust schedules with safety as the top priority. However, ASD officials have been advised that bus delays may still occur.

If you have specific questions about your child’s bus pickup or drop-off, authorities say to contact STA directly at (484) 209-0898.
