OBITUARY
Carol Schofield, Dunmore, passed away at her home after being stricken ill. She was the widow of James P. Schofield Sr.
Born 1949 in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Violet Sangiuliano Emiliani. She was a graduate of West Scranton High School. She worked as a clerk in the county court system, Pennsylvania Illuminating Company, and retired from the University of Scranton.
Carol was a simple woman who enjoyed nothing more than being with her family. She was happiest when cooking and sharing her favorite dishes as well as watching her favorite baseball team in the summer. Carol had a special place for everyone of her pets and always included them as part of the family.
Surviving are her son, James P. Schofield Jr.; brother-in-law, Luke Schofield, and wife Denise, Niece Nicole Schofield (Rocco), all of Dunmore.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10am in the Immaculate Conception Church, 801 Taylor Ave.
Friends may call Wednesday from 9:15am until the time of Mass in the church
Interment will take place in Cathedral Cemetery
