Polls open for 61st Senate District special election

Polls are now open for the 61st Senate District special election. Polls will be open until 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Only poll sites in the 61st Senate district will be open.

Democratic candidate Jeremy Zellner is running against Republican candidate Dan Gagliardo for the Senate seat vacated by now-Buffalo Mayor Sean Ryan.

Early voting ended with more than 7,800 votes cast.
